One famous tech YouTube channel, Linus Tech Tips, as of late succumbed to a designated assault by crypto tricksters who hacked the channel to spread misleading Bitcoin promotions.
The Rise of Crypto Scams

The scammers designated the LTT YouTube channel owned by Linus Sebastian's Linus Media Group during the early hours of the morning. They ran several livestreams based on Elon Musk and Bitcoin while disclosing private videos public and deleting a vast amount of popular videos on the channel. Viewers were urged to send cryptocurrency, and unfortunately, some fell for the scam.
Response from Linus Media Group
Although Linus Media Group has not officially responded to the hack, the company did send out a playful tweet on the Linus Tech Tips Twitter account letting fans know they could still watch videos on ShortCircuit, another Linus Media Group channel not affected by the hack. It's important to note that the company did not ask for any donations or money from its viewers.
Crypto Scams Continue
This attack on Linus Tech Tips is not the first or last time a crypto scam will occur. The ascent of decentralized cryptocurrency has carried with it new opportunities for scammers to deceive unsuspecting individuals.
